The P-01 has small markers on the top edge of fret board and a simple but nice sound hole design,this is called Special Edition because it early model with Maple binding around back body, basically same guitar as Larrivee P-03,P-05,or P-09,the difference higher number model's may have more fancier cosmetics such Abalone hole, boards or tuner head various other tone wood,but they can cost up to $2000 $3000. I prefer Elixir half medium/ light gauge strings on all of my Larrivee guitars just preference,but the Co.says you can keep medium their. So if you are looking for a Larrivee Parlor guitar with great sound this P-01 may be what want. This Parlor guitar is in great shape I have only played it at home has always been kept the case when not Bering.
