Often described as being between maple and rosewood, Koa offers the best of both worlds: crisp, clarity former warmth thick tone latter. That began a relationship that has continued for multiple custom runs over number of years. Top Material: Flamed Koa. Fingerboard Inlay: Diamonds and Squares Long; Select Abalone.

The guitar is finished in gloss, with a satin Mahogany neck. Koa produces a brighter sound that is also very evenly balanced. Serial # 2906753. Adhesive: Modern Adhesive.

For those that traditionally only owned dreadnoughts, a small body acoustic like this is must have. It has Martins popular modified low oval with high performance taper, making it very comfortable to play for hours. Koa guitars might sound bright and tight off the shelf, benefit from a good amount of playing in. The more they re played, opens up. The look of the guitar itself would be enough, but materials, construction and appointments make it all more special.

Neck Joint: Dovetail. True tone Music was invited to Nazareth, PA for a very special visit. Back and Side Material: Flamed Koa. Other features included Adirondack Spruce bracing, a Black Ebony fret board, Ivories binding, and nickel Grover tuners.

A month later, it came back after barely being played - the customer had to consolidate his collection. Bracing Material, Top: Adirondack Spruce. Top Color: Clear. This is one that we spec'ed out and ordered, built this year, was here as a new guitar just sold recently.

Case: Molded Hard shell. Bridge End Pins: White w/ Faux Tortoise. The radius is 16 with a nut width of 1 3/4. So it was a new guitar, now considered pre-owned, but in the same shape.
