I say crack but visually it looks like a scratch and lightly pressing on location - There are couple dings scuffs the top as well near end where you would attach strap nick rosewood. Here is a very nice Epiphone AJ45S-VS Acoustic Guitar - somewhat hard to find anymore Orange label Korean 1998 made guitar Rosewood neck and action. Average amount of wear for its age.
There is a hair line crack on the top near bottom - as can be seen in pictures looks like 2 1/2 scratch. Plays well and is a solid wood guitar. These Korean Epiphone acoustics from this era were built like tanks at the Peerless factory in Korea.
