The solid Steak spruce top has a nice, caramel-colored sunburst and the beauty of guitar is enhanced by real abalone purling all around body edge sound hole. This is a really beautiful guitar, with marvelous complete sound that makes it an excellent value. The axis of the X is pushed closer to sound hole than it in traditional patterns. The standard 20 frets are still present and the scale length is normal at 25.5 inches.

This guitar has been kept in a case with Booed hydration packs that get changed regularly. This is a limited-edition acoustic guitar from Alvarez's 50th Anniversary collection, built in 2015 and exhibited at the NAMM. Most players believe that 12-fret guitars have 'richer' tone than 14-fret designs because the bridge is located more centrally in lower bout. The guitar has 12 frets from the nut to body, a slotted head stock, bone saddle, K pickup and lots of nice bling.

The top is built with forward shifted X-bracing which helps to emphasize bass response. This creates a larger exposed soundboard that is strengthened by solid maple bridge plate.
