Details:
The finish looks great, with only a few very minor light scratches that are barely noticeable. This guitar comes with a non-original hard shell case the outside of the shows some cosmetic wear on Rolex covering but is very sturdy and structurally sound. This guitar has been fully refinished with a high gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish, which is not only beautiful finish but also enhances the tone compared to original thicker polyurethane factory. The previous owner had a strap button installed on the neck heel and there was small crack in wood around where hole drilled.
I have owned the guitar for over ten years and it has been an excellent me. The frets and fretboard are in very good condition with not much fret wear. The crack repair looks good cosmetically, and the glue line is only very slightly visible the last photo in listing shows an arrow pointing to repaired. The guitar originally was stamped USED on the back of head stock near top past tuners.
The previous owner sanded off the USED stamp, but a very faint hint of slightly darker wood grain remains around where stamp previously was its barely even visible at all. The guitar body and neck are accented with tortoise binding, herringbone purling on the top, an abalone sound hole rosette, fretboard inlays. This is a high quality guitar superbly built with solid Steak spruce top, mahogany back and sides, neck, rosewood fretboard. Overall, this is a beautiful guitar in excellent condition that plays well and sounds great.
This is a Tacoma 12-string acoustic guitar, model DM18-12, USA made in the year 2000 Tacoma, WA. The mahogany back and sides also have beautiful grain figuring, with a good amount of shimmer chatelaines. This guitar top has unusually nice cross grain sulking figure, which is typically only found on perfectly quarters awn spruce of the highest quality.
