Yamaha described the G-50A as an economy model for aspiring guitarist who wants quality in his first guitar. As a bonus it is in very nice yellow lined worcester gifts case also condition and contains 3 fender picks. The 6 string guitar was just restrung. I am not a guitar expert and don't know what kinds of wood it is made with.

Neck is tight to body and it straight. 5 inches body sound hole rosette red black round neck fret joins at 12th joint set material NATO number of frets 19 pegged head stock slotted open tuner layout three-each-side fret board fingerboard barbing hardware tuners classical tuners, pearl button. This is a very nice seldom used guitar. This is for a Yamaha G-50A acoustic guitar probably from the 1960s plus worcester gifts case made in rochdale mass as noted on inside of closing tabs.

Neck was made of NATO. See photos for condition.

Overall it is in very good condition. Scale length nut to bridge 658mm. Previous owner told me it was seldom played and shows.

Back and sides were made of caesura, one the largest hardwood trees growing throughout japan, in some parts china - scientific name zestfully capsicum described as jigsawed Yamaha 1971 catalog. I just had it restrung and has a great mellow tone. Fingerboard and bridge were made of barbing.
