The fretboard is a particularly thick cut of rosewood with pearl inlay. The thick rosewood bridge sits flush with the top, and saddle is compensated for optimal intonation. Crafted in the USA at Guilds Westerly, RI factory, this vintage Guild dreadnought offers tons of note attack and power thanks to arched maple back, solid sides, spruce top. There are only a couple shallow nicks on the treble side lower bout top, and neck profile is flawless. This Guild means business, with an authoritative voice that projects beautifully and has the ample top end cut clarity across tonal spectrum one wants in a dreadnought. The profile measures .842 deep at the 1st fret and 1.035 9th, where begins to subtly transition into neck heel. Inside the sound hole, Guild logo is mint and handwritten serial number matches one stamped into back of head stock.

While the saddle does have minimal height , action is comfortable in all registers. On the head stock, original chrome tuners are near mint, turn smoothly, and hold pitch very well.
