Seems to work fine but volume is controlled. It has felt pads and spring clamps underneath the top to hold position. Today I offer a big, bold jumbo Kay K8165 Tobacco-Burst Flat Top guitar from 1965, rare color for this model. The DeArmond single coil pickup is probably also from the mid 1960s and works.

There is zero guitar structure damage. Has a regular 1/4 plug. It plays very well with low acoustic-low action - sounds resonant and projects sweet to booming tone. That buyer made a mistake in his un-called-for slander and should be embarrassed.

It was probably matched with an arch top originally. This is NOT permanently installed and easily removed or by its design. I describe and present images of the item to best my ability. It looks good and is very solid feeling.

It is all original except for a brass shim under the bridge and seems to have had little use with minimal play wear. The tuners are good and the Head stock foil badge is still present. The neck looks to have been reset like most other playable old Kay acoustics. This one, however has the volume control removed and was direct wired to pickup.

It is strong and light weight. The blue flannel lining is good and has no musty smell that I could detect. No key however. Its clean, excellent condition, set-up, awesome sounding, loud and sturdy.

The case is an exact fit with a very thin and hard fiberboard clam shell design. The hardware shows light rust it all works fine, including the latch. The Jumbo Flattop with Tobacco Burst is not often available. The vinyl surface layer has minor scrapes and marks.

A sweet package: Kay Jumbo Flattop 1965, DeArmond sound hole pickup and Thin hard shell perfect fit case. The frets show no wear and the neck is very good overall. Cord is a little cracked and worn but pickup still working an easy replacement with new shielded guitar cable - these are micro phonic if handling them when you play I don't ever do that Its nice for this to buy one quite expensive. Missing a small detail in the finish at input jack was my error.

There are some scratches, mostly on back but not noticeable.
