Yamaha L25AT Acoustic Guitar (Tommy Tedesco COA, Circa 1980s)

The Yamaha L25AT acoustic guitar, specifically this model bearing a Tommy Tedesco Certificate of Authenticity (COA) from the 1980s, is an exquisite instrument that showcases the rich history and exceptional craftsmanship of Yamaha's guitar production. This guitar offers a perfect blend of traditional design, unparalleled tonal quality, and remarkable playability that sets it apart in the world of acoustic guitars.

Upon first glance, the L25AT boasts a solid Sitka spruce top with beautiful grain patterns and an attractive, all-solid mahogany back and sides. This all-solid construction not only enhances the guitar's structural stability but also contributes significantly to its superior tonal characteristics.

The 20-fret, 25.6-inch (651mm) scale length neck is made of meranti wood, providing excellent balance and comfort for the player. The neck features a traditional dovetail joint, ensuring a secure and stable connection to the body, while the 1.69-inch (43mm) nut width offers a comfortable playing experience for most hand sizes.

The fingerboard and bridge are crafted from rosewood, adding to the guitar's aesthetic appeal and contributing to its rich, resonant tone. The bridge is compensated, ensuring optimal string height and intonation across the entire fretboard, resulting in superior playability and consistent, accurate tuning.

The L25AT comes equipped with a traditional scalloped bracing pattern designed to maximize the guitar's resonance and volume. This design also allows for a more dynamic response to the player's touch, ensuring a lively and engaging playing experience.

The guitar's body dimensions are 19.8 x 11.8 x 3 inches (50.3 x 29.9 x 7.6 cm), making it a comfortable size for most players. Its lightweight construction, despite its all-solid body, ensures ease of transportation and long hours of comfortable playing.

The Tommy Tedesco COA that accompanies this instrument adds an extra layer of authenticity and value to this already exceptional acoustic guitar. Tommy Tedesco, a renowned guitarist, arranger, and composer, was a significant figure in the music industry, and his seal of approval on this guitar further validates its quality and significance.

In summary, the Yamaha L25AT acoustic guitar, with its Tommy Tedesco COA from the 1980s, is a truly remarkable instrument that combines traditional design, superior craftsmanship, and exceptional tonal quality to create an unforgettable playing experience. Whether you're a seasoned guitarist or just starting your musical journey, this guitar is sure to captivate and inspire you with its rich, resonant tone and remarkable playability.

It is combined with a Steak spruce top. It has a bound ebony neck on the top back of its body. It comes complete w/its original case. Yamaha was primarily known for its run of the mill instruments, they made beautiful hand-made instrument that had to compete with Western brands such as Martins.

I am not desperate to sell this. Tommy Tedesco, from new, as he was a huge Yamaha Endorser. So I have set the price at something can live with. The Yamaha L-25AT borrows its design from the famous dreadnought, Martin D-35, w/its 3-piece Brazilian rosewood back.

So here is my baby. Yamaha used the most regarded type of wood for L-25AT, which is Brazilian Rosewood with an astonishing pattern. Its a very fine sounding instrument, with lot of volume, thick and dark mid range, articulated balanced bass warm high-end. Tommy played w/most everyone that was anyone during the 50s thru 80s from Elvis Presley to Sammy Davis Jr.

Documented by his Son Denny Tedesco. Tommy used it a lot over the years but kept in excellent shape overall. It is my prized acoustic. Never thought I'd be selling this but some unexpected medical bills have come along.

This pretty guitar was the property 1 of famous members Wrecking Crew, Mr. From Stevie Wonder to Frank Zappa the list goes on. Particularly well suited for singer-backup, this Yamaha is an excellent strummed and a fan of dropped open turnings. I will ignore low-ball offers, but consider reasonable ones.

It has no cracks, repairs or touch up ever.
