This guitar was built in 2003 and is an exact replica of the original 1902 Martin prototype. In 1902, four prototypes were built with the 45 inlays at the time they were called 42 inlays. The guitars also had a very ornate vine inlay on the fret board, head stock, and mandolin pick guard.
Nut width is included with the guitar is the original hard shell coffin case, model ed after the cases Martin used in scale length is 24. These four prototypes were the first to feature the now famous 45 inlays. This guitar features an Adirondack spruce top, ebony fret board, and mahogany neck. The case has moderate scratches on the exterior, but still presents very well overall of the series the guitar is near mint condition, showing only a few light marks.
