Crafted from genuine mahogany, the modified v shaped neck showcases a polished east Indian rosewood overlay on the squared and tapered head stock, an elegant backdrop for Martin old gold decal logo. I bought this guitar on line a month ago from Taejon street music, and it's a beautiful guitar and sounds awesome but I though being a clarence white edition it would have large sound hole and when I actually got my hands on it had a regular size sound hole, that being said I decided to sale it and buy a d28 clarence white edition that does have the large sound hole.. In the tradition of another of white Martin guitars, no position markers are inlay ed on the fingerboard, only clarence white signature between the 19th and 20th frets. The rosette inlay accents a single ring of colorful heart abalone pearl trimmed with vintage 45 wood fiber lines.

It's got an Adirondack spruce top, which Martin referred to as Appalachian spruce in all of their press for this model. The18cw features premium solid tone woods throughout.
