It is book matched on the back and looks great. Not sure of the wood but it is pretty. Maybe it is some sort of zebra wood or something like that.

There is a truss rod but I never mess with them, so perhaps you can adjust the relief to your liking. Action creeps up to 1/4 at the 12th fret, which is OK for me but may be way high some folks. Plays and sounds good.
